“Carry on, carry on” may ring a bell to everyone in the fashion industry and we may put Project Runway’s Tim Gunn’s voice to it. The phrase has become Tim Gunn’s voice of support to the aspiring fashion designers in the fashion reality show. But it also rings true in our lives. Life, as we know it, is not a bed a roses. There are days when we simply want to stay in bed and do nothing. There are times when we want to surrender. Sometimes we come to a point in this journey of life when we are so tired and miserable that we want to just give up. There are dreams we have forgotten because they seem so out of reach. There are days when we feel like life is simply a routinary everyday thing and you long for more but you just don’t know how to… Continue reading
I dare you to move.
I dare you to take risks.
Yes, I am talking to you.
I’m talking about taking risks. No, not foolish risks such as taking a jump from the highest building without any safety gear. I’m talking about the risks we face in life- in our career, love, family, and spiritual faith. Decisions we have to make. Life is all about taking risks anyway. We take chances every single day. When we go to sleep, we risk not waking up the next day or when we cross the street, we risk getting… Continue reading

Consistency is the number one thing that keeps you from succeeding at your goal. Most people don’t know what they will, so if you do know what you want your ahead of the game. Unfortunately that is not enough. You must… Continue reading
Most people don’t realize that successful people work first, sometimes for years, before they make lots of money. They are like the man who says to the fireplace, “give me heat, then I’ll add the wood”, they have it backwards… Continue reading
Everyone says that they want something, but most people can only give a vague sense of what they really want. But if you really want it, then it needs to be written out EXACTLY what you want. You may have often heard the saying “ask what you want, but be careful … Continue reading
I want tell you a story about a little girl who was born in 1940. She was premature and should die, but she didn’t. A little bit later she contracted a double pneumonia and should have died, but she didn’t. A little bit later than that was diagnosed with Scarlett fever and she should’ve died, but she didn’t. At the age of six she… Continue reading
This one is ‘Confidential Secret’. Let me know what you think.
There is a confidential secret that is really not a secret at all. It has been known since the dawn of man, but yet it still remains a confidential secret for most people. Many people have used this secret to make things happen and it is necessary for anything we do. It has been responsible for everything we create, from the invention of the wheel, to the most sophisticated computers, and much, much more.
What is this confidential secret? It is very simple, before anything can be invented someone has to create the idea. All people think of things to invent every day, but most people do only that. They do not take the next step of thinking how they can get their invention going. Most people who have an idea for something immediately say they can’t do it because _____________ (and you can fill in the blank with anything you want to, such as ‘I don’t have the time’, ‘it wouldn’t work for me’, ‘I don’t have the money’, or think anything else you can think of). That’s why it is a confidential secret.
Though there are a few people who know better. People who have an idea AND go forward with the idea, until they have made it work no matter how long it takes. True inventions are made from ordinary people who will take an idea and make it work. They are often ridiculed for believing that they can make something work. In the old days, they were even put in jail or a psychiatric care because they believed something that was not the “norm”. Fortunately now, in this age, they fare a little bit better.
You must nourish the dream. One thing that will help you is that you should write down your goals and read it every morning and every night. Really concentrate on this goal, then in your mind and over time it will get stronger and more defined. It will go from a dream to a reality, if you feed it often. So take this ‘confidential secret’ and do something extraordinary with it… Continue reading
Endurance is what makes winners, real winners. A consistent and ever forward person can overcome any obstacle. It reminds me of Aesop’s fable, where the tortoise and the hare were in a race. The tortoise had a slow, but… Continue reading
