I appreciate all the responses. This one is ‘Consistency’. Let me know what you think.
Consistency is the number one thing that keeps you from succeeding at your goal. Most people don’t know what they will, so if you do know what you want your ahead of the game. Unfortunately that is not enough. You must work at the goal consistently for a long time. Most people who have a goal or real fired up for a month and then they lose interest and don’t work on it every day. I know, everyone has been, including me. You don’t really want to, but you have other things that take your attention from the goal. It’s called life.
If you can take one hour every day (or more) and devote it to your goal, it will make a huge difference in what you get done. Also, if you do it every day, it forms a habit. When it is a habit is easy to do it every day.
The experts say that if you do it every day for 21 days to become the habit, but I think it takes longer than that. I think it takes two or three months of doing it every day for to habit. I know in my life that 21 days isn’t enough. That could just be me, but I think is different for every person.
I also know that just because it is a habit doesn’t mean that changes in your life may change that habit. You have to really guard yourself of that. You must always be vigilant about consistency, because things are going to happen all the time. But if you keep your goal in front of you and work on it consistently, you too can have anything.
